Good News!
My husband's short-term disability just came through!
He won't see his neurosurgeon until next month. For the rest of this month and until his September medical appointment, his company benefit will allow him to receive 100% of his income.
He spoke with his supervisor today. His return to work in October will most likely be remote until his two compression fractures are 100% mended.
His pain is not as severe as it was, but he remains in pain with limited mobility. The lumbar support for his back while he sleeps has finally arrived. I don't know it will help, but I hope it allows him better sleep.
I have another good piece of news. Today is our daughter’s Sweet Sixteen Birthday! That lifts the darkness and stress.
